2. Purpose of the platform

Studently is an online platform that connects students in the Netherlands with landlords and real estate agents offering accommodation.

Studently:

  • Publishes housing listings

  • Offers students the opportunity to respond to specific properties for a fee

  • Forwards student requests to landlords

Studently does not own the properties offered and does not act as a landlord or intermediary in the conclusion of rental agreements.

3. Account registration

Registration is required for certain features of the platform.

Users are responsible for:

  • Providing correct and up-to-date information

  • Keeping their login details confidential

  • All activities that take place via their account

Studently reserves the right to suspend or delete accounts in case of abuse, fraud, or violation of these terms.

4. Payments and reimbursements

To respond to a housing offer, a student must pay a fee.

Key points:

  • The payment applies per home

  • Payment does not guarantee acceptance

  • Payments are non-refundable

All prices are shown in euros (€) and are subject to change without prior notice.

5. No guarantee of accommodation

Studently does not guarantee that:

  • An application is accepted

  • A home remains available

  • A rental agreement is concluded

The final decision rests entirely with the landlord or real estate agent.

6. Responsibility of landlords

Landlords and real estate agents are responsible for:

  • The accuracy of the provided property information

  • The availability of the property

  • Compliance with applicable Dutch laws and regulations

Studently is not liable for incorrect, incomplete, or misleading information provided by landlords.

7. Prohibited use

It is not permitted to use the platform for:

  • Providing incorrect or misleading information

  • Fraudulent activities

  • Sending spam or unwanted communication

  • Bypassing security measures

In the event of a violation, the account may be terminated without prior warning.

8. Liability

Studently is not liable for:

  • Damage arising from lease agreements

  • Financial losses

  • Disputes between students and landlords

  • Technical malfunctions or temporary unavailability of the website

Use of the platform is entirely at your own risk.

9. Intellectual property

All content on the website, including but not limited to:

  • Texts

  • Designs

  • Logos

  • Software

  • Structure of the platform

is the property of Studently and may not be copied, distributed, or used commercially without prior written permission.

10. Amendments to the terms and conditions

Studently reserves the right to modify these terms of use at any time.

The most recent version is always available on this page.

11. Applicable law

These terms of use are governed by Dutch law.

Any disputes shall be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.
