But as well as the basic rent, there are often additional costs that affect your monthly budget.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"469\" data-end=\"554\">In this guide, we explain what costs you can expect and what you need to bear in mind.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"556\" data-end=\"559\" \/>\n<h5 data-start=\"561\" data-end=\"595\">\ud83c\udfe0 1. Basic rent vs. total rent<\/h5>\n<p data-start=\"597\" data-end=\"718\">The basic rent is the amount you pay for the use of the property itself.
